In Class
Today we did an author study on J.D. Salinger by reading his obituary from the NY Times and we also read an article from Time magazine about the text and why it was banned. The Catcher in the Rye was distributed.
Homework
Read and annotate the first two chapters in the text. Answer the 10 questions that pertain to these 2 chapters. If you were absent on Friday is is your responsibility to get your hands on the text and read the chapters so we can all be on the same page when we come back from the break. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThe questions are on the handout I distributed in class (it's two sheets, front and back). It contains questions for all the chapters in the text, but for homework you are only responsible for the first two chapters.
